The quantum computing lab of the Advanced Institute of Nano Technology at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul has announced the deployment of three advanced OPX1000 controllers from Quantum Machines. The OPX1000 is a modular, high-density quantum control platform with exceptional processing power and channel density. The Quantum Information Research Support Center will use the equipment for ongoing projects, particularly in developing, characterizing, and testing novel architectures for the national Korean quantum computer. The initiative is part of a large-scale government project with a budget of approximately $45 million over five years, aiming to advance South Korea's position in the global quantum computing landscape.
